It was a working bee weekend at the Tinker Studio with lots of helpers. We have had my family staying with us and been busy in the sunshine kicking balls, sunbathing, eating bbq’d slow cooked pork (yum), and also a little bit of DIY.
We created a king size headboard for our bedroom by upcycling some used timber from Andrews workshop. I put together the composition/layout with the distressed timber and then Andrew and family all chipped in attaching it to a backboard with screws and some liquid nails.
Its a mix of rustic, coastal and shabby chic, finished with some smooth hardwood for the trim to complete the look. We are stoked with how its turned out! We’ll definitely be making more of these to sell at the market in the future.
